I own a 4 bedroom house in the UK which I rent out as at the moment I live in Canada.

When my last tenants moved out the whole house badly needed a full refurbishment. Every room needed painting - woodwork, ceilings and walls, including one bedroom that had been badly stained by continuous candle burning. This could have been a total nightmare to arrange and organise from across the Atlantic but has actually been amazingly easy. Rob took the keys, examined the house, advised me on all the options from budget to more expensive. I then let him know what I wished him to do and a very short time later the whole house is done.

I'm extremely impressed as are my family and my letting agents. Rob is exactly what you would want. Honest, extremely efficient and very reasonable, he even cleans up completely after himself! I can't recommend him highly enough and will definately use him again

Robert Smith is an excellent painter and decorator. He has worked in my house for me on several occasions during the last five years, mostly indoors, and I have always found his work to be of the highest standard. He prepares surfaces with great care, and pays close attention to the quality and details of lines, edges, joints and shade-matching. His finish is immaculate, and after he has finished - very important - he clears up afterwards. One could not ask for better. He is completely reliable, conscientious, punctual and courteous (for instance, he keeps his radio very quiet). I recommend him whole-heartedly for any job of work, large or small, indoors or outdoors.

Dear Mr Smith

I am back & thrilled with the results of your work in the first floor bedroom, bathroom & loo. As usual you have done a first rate job in what I know were not always straight forward circumstances, especially the walls where the patching is invisible. It is such a joy to know that having gone over things we can leave you to get on, without us being there, thus being able to enjoy a short holiday without worrying about what was going on at home.

I expect we will need you again next year so please contact us when you start your 2010 plan & don't forget if anyone wants a reference I am only too happy to provide one.
